I make paintings that live on the edge of contradiction, between figuration and abstraction, structure and entropy, intention and chance. Working with the materiality of paint, I build and sculpt the surface so it shifts with light and time, embracing imperfection through the spirit of wabi-sabi. Drawing from art history, graffiti, film, and music, each work becomes a self-contained world — a "desert island” — rich enough to sustain attention and vitality, inviting viewers to step inside and discover their own connections.
